1EdTech Consortium Releases 2023 Learning Impact Report

The annual report recognizes breakthroughs in edtech solutions and strategies that power potential in all learners

LAKE MARY, Florida, November 14, 2023 — Creating clearer pathways to educational success through the use of data analytics, digital credentials, AI and machine learning, and other inspiring technologies was a winning effort for 1EdTech's 2023 Learning Impact Awards.

1EdTech®, the leading non-profit educational technology partnership worldwide, holds the annual awards competition to recognize innovative digital learning technology, strategies, and collaborations that show evidence of learning impact for K-20 education and workforce training organizations.

All 20 finalists that competed in this year's competition are described in the newly released Learning Impact Report.

Project submissions offer insights into solving real-world challenges faced by educators and administrators, such as meeting students' needs for personalized learning, increasing access to learning content and resources, helping individuals communicate evidence of their workforce skills, addressing staffing shortages and professional development, and using AI to enhance educational experiences and delivery.

Eight of the 2023 finalists stood out and were recognized at the Learning Impact Conference.

Five award winners exemplified trends in 1EdTech's Advancing Educational Insight, Attainment, and Planning project category, including platinum award winner Penn State's Course Insights. The program provides data and analytics to convey learning-related insights to instructors and gives them a holistic view of the student learning experience. This allows instructors to adapt their courses, monitor the impact of those changes over time, and support a reflective teaching process.

The other platinum winner was in the Advancing Teaching & Learning Innovation category. The University of Central Florida's Personalized Adaptive Learning initiative provides adaptive learning, online homework, and assessment capabilities, making it easier for educators to tailor lessons and offering more flexibility for students to complete their work.

“It’s no secret or surprise that every learner is different. If we want every learner to succeed, we need to have flexible solutions that meet those various needs and are scalable without putting additional stress on educators,” explained Dr. Rob Abel, 1EdTech CEO. “The Learning Impact Program showcases the types of innovative and inspiring solutions from the education community in ways that can be leveraged and repeated by others.”

The annual Learning Impact Awards competition is open to all educational institutions, states, edtech suppliers, and workplace training organizations worldwide. The 2024 Learning Impact Awards nomination period opens on January 22, 2024, and closes on March 1. 1EdTech will announce the winners at the annual Learning Impact Conference, scheduled for June 3-6, 2024, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
