Increases in Membership and Adoption of 1EdTech Standards Reach New Heights for the 14th Consecutive Year
LAKE MARY, Florida, 16 July 2020 — 1EdTech Consortium (1EdTech/1EdTech), the world-leading non-profit collaborative advancing educational technology impact, announced a 14th consecutive year of growth in membership and revenue in its annual report of fiscal results and progress for the 2019 calendar year.
Fifty-one new member organizations joined 1EdTech in 2019, with overall membership growing to 543 organizations. 1EdTech members are leaders in the edtech community—representing top learning institutions, government agencies, and technology suppliers—working together as equal stakeholders to advance the foundation for an innovative and interoperable digital learning ecosystem. Over the last 14 years, 1EdTech membership increased at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 20.14%. Revenue rose to over 6.1 million dollars, a CAGR of 14.25% over this same period.
1EdTech members contribute to innovations that improve the landscape of educational technology forever. Highlights from 2019 include the final public release and surge in demand for and adoption of LTI® Advantage—the foundation for rapid, data-rich, and secure learning tool integration; achievement of digital on day one by leading school districts leveraging OneRoster® as the cornerstone of their digital ecosystems; the launch of the CASE® Network of free state learning standards to streamline digital resource alignment; significant advancements in digital credentials and lifelong learning records from 1EdTech’s Comprehensive Learner Record and Open Badges standards; and the emergence of a major upgrade to QTI®—the interoperability standard for the authoring, delivery, and outcomes reporting enabling digital assessment innovation and accessibility worldwide. 1EdTech also saw record numbers of engagement in the 1EdTech community-developed and governed certification and app vetting programs.
